About Us

The Barn Caravan Park at Lancing, West Sussex opened in 2003 and has been growing and welcoming campers ever since.

Fret not though if big campsites aren’t your thing: this is a peaceful medium-sized site and is carefully maintained by owner Joe to avoid overcrowding even in busy periods. Tent pitches are on grass and come with access to The Barn’s four toilets, showers with lashings of free hot water; for outdoor suds, there’s a cold water beach-type shower. There are brick barbecues and picnic tables for guests to use, and a good play....

Local Events And Attractions

Many local attractions every year from Wildlife Music Festival, Glyndebourne and Goodwood races

Beaches, beaches, beaches… the nearest beach, South Lancing, is within a short walk, with the beaches of Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea each two miles walk from here. Or head west along the coast to the flumes of Littlehampton’s Harbour Park or to the bountiful resort of Bognor Regis, officially declared Britain’s sunniest seaside resort in 2011.
Going east? Brighton probably doesn’t need an introduction, but if you’re looking for recommendations on what to do there, George IV’s Royal Pavilion, Sea Life Brighton or shopping/eating out around The Lanes are good places to start.
The town of Lancing is less than a mile away from The Barn with a nature reserve, Lancing Ring, to its north and restaurants and shops at which to fill your boots and empty your wallet. Worthing is also well worth a look as one of the biggest towns in the area – and the former home of Oscar Wilde and Harold Pinter for those who like their literature. There are a couple of hundred listed buildings in the town to make your way around as well as the biggest museum in West Sussex, an undercover shopping centre and, er, a haunted oak tree. Along the coast to the west there’s cracking Chichester with its Norman cathedral, festivals and shops; Fishbourne Roman Palace, the biggest Roman home in Britain, is just outside the city...

Just returned from a lovely stay at The Barn. Nice clean site all round. Grandchildren enjoyed the play area and the football games. Beach short walk away, no hills. Buses to Brighton every 10 minutes, just a 5 minute walk to bus stop. Definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

What a fabulous site. Huge space in the centre of the site with play area and football goal. Wherever you are pitched you could still see your children. If you are looking for somewhere family friendly, close to local amenities then you can't go wrong. We will be back.

The site was clean, Joe was very helpful and always friendly. The site had a full size goal which our grandchildren enjoyed. Unfortunately one of our grandsons had a injury, we went to the local doctors, who were very helpful and friendly. The site is close to the beach about 5 minutes walk. Bus service to Brighton…

Arrival was friendly, the pitch was well placed and not crowded and the sun was shinning. The toilets were clean and the showers were good. The site is well placed for walking into Lansing or worthing or you could cycle further if that is what you want to do. There is really nothing that can be said…
